John Paul Von Arx grew up in Rockford, Illinois as the oldest of nine children. He is a life-long musician and is rivalled by few on the guitar. When he was 19 years old he was part of a country music band and played with them over 110 nights a year. At 21, John Paul joined the Catholic Rock band, The Thirsting. After nearly completing his Catechetics degree at Franciscan University, he will release his debut solo-album in March 2017. John Paul seeks to announce Jesus Christ and His Gospel through his musical ministry.
